There is a lot to consider when planning a wedding: finding the right location, tasty catering, the right music, putting together a catchy ceremony, a beautiful wedding dress that is also comfortable on the dance floor, the guest list, fun decoration ... flowers should certainly not be missing. For the decoration of your day, the flowers are...dare I say it...the most important item.
But what should you take into account when choosing a bridal bouquet and the floral decoration for your wedding?
Tip #1 - Don't get hung up on a trend.
You usually only experience a wedding once. This is the day to celebrate your love as a couple. Of course you want to do this your way. Let the decoration of your party radiate your personality. That's what the own in Aunt Fin's "ownnice flowers" stands for.
Don't be guided too much by all those Pinterest and Instagram trends, but choose a style that suits you and your party.
Tip #2 - Enjoy your flowers as long as possible.
Of course you want a lasting memory of your marriage. By providing a vase for your bridal bouquet on the day itself, you can ensure that the flowers remain beautiful for as long as possible. After your big day you can dry the flowers by hanging them upside down, you can read more tips about this in my blog article about dried flowers. Or make your bridal bouquet #everlasting by drying a few flowers in a flower press and then place them in a nice photo frame.

Tip #3 - Don't be frugal.
I'm planning a real #flowerparty for my own wedding! Now you probably think: of course because you are a florist. But flowers can also be an absolute eye-catcher for you. Opt for a number of larger pieces that emphasize unique elements in the room. Think, for example, of a piece on a mantelpiece or decoration around poles. Maybe you can even reuse the arch from your ceremony for the #photobooth?
Tip #4 - Let your bridal bouquet shine!
Don't ask me to pose naturally in the photo because then you will get the most forced grimace. But just as you may have a good and a less good side for the photo, you can beautifully place your bridal bouquet in the picture. Do that by holding it at belly button height and tilted slightly forward (with the stems facing you). If you have a nice silk ribbon, turn the bouquet with the bow to the front.

Tip #5 - Get advice on which flowers are in season.
I like to think along with you about the flowers that are in season or certain similar alternatives. This is how I help you choose a sustainable, characterful and high-quality decoration for your wedding day.
